Is Sesame White granite suitable for kitchen countertops?
Yes. G603 is dense enough to take a polished worktop finish and its light grey base hides water marks better than near-white marble. Specify a honed finish if the client dislikes visible fingerprints.
What thickness should a countertop use?
2cm on a plywood substrate, or 3cm unsupported with a front edge build-up. Most projects specify 3cm because it removes the need for a substrate.
Where do countertop jobs fail?
Two places: cutouts measured from the wrong reference edge, and seams not aligned to the slab vein. Send the cabinet drawing before cutting and confirm the seam plan in writing.
